SIMI VALLEY FAMILIY YMCA 

FACILITY EXPANSION UPDATES 

The project will cost $7.5 million to complete. 

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA will invest $3 million toward the project from its Capital Expansion Fund dedicated to the project. In January 2025, the Y launched a $2.5 million capital campaign to secure support towards the project from individuals, businesses and foundations. The Y will seek the remaining $2 million from government funding and other sources.

The campaign will operate in a “quiet, behind-the-scenes fundraising phase” through December 2025, focused on securing support from lead and major gift support. The “community” phase of the campaign will launch in January 2026 with a public announcement and a groundbreaking celebration event, followed by a community fundraising effort conducted jointly with the Y’s 2026 Annual Campaign raising funds for essential services and financial assistance.

In the coming months, announcements will be posted on Member and Community Open Houses, Y Alumni Reunion Events and Presentations Planned in the Community introducing the Project.
